On June 6, 2024, the Assemblée nationale du Québec created the Select Parliamentary Committee on the Impacts of Screens and Social Media on Young People's Health and Development.
Between now and May 2025, the members of the Select Committee will focus on the issues under consideration, in particular by consulting the general public (including young people) and experts. They will then submit a report to the Assemblée nationale no later than May 30, 2025.

Starting September 12, 2024, the Committee will hear a variety of points of view on the issue of screens and social media among young people during special consultations and public hearings.

The Committee is made up of MNAs (parliamentarians) from all the parliamentary groups represented in the Assemblée nationale.
Its steering committee, which is responsible for organizing the Committee's work, also includes MNAs from these four political parties.
